Pony

Pony International (commonly referred to as merely Pony) is an American brand of footwear and other apparel. Founded in 1972 in Brooklyn, Pony became one of the top athletic brands worldwide. By the mid-1980s, Pony's sales volume reached US$800 million. From 1996–2006, it was (at least in part) owned by Global Brand Marketing, Inc., a privately held company based in Santa Barbara, California. Global Brand Marketing acquired a majority share of Pony in 2003. Pony has recently been bought by Sharp Gain Profits Ltd. Pony was relaunched in 2008 in San Diego.
